Discover the True Heart of India.
Take a Memorable Road Trip.

A road trip is by far the best way to get to see the heart and soul of India. Discover ancient temples that seem to be lost in time. Explore colourful villages and meet happy, warm-hearted people, eager to welcome you.

The real India resides in its rural areas. But regular tour programs do not take you there. So what’s the solution? You should hire a car and driver and blaze your own trail, driving your way through the heart and soul of India.

You encounter small, sometimes nondescript, but most times uniquely picturesque villages that seem to have been forgotten by time in its mad race towards modernity. The villages can seem at times to be extremely primitive. But don’t be deceived. The people are humble, simple, warmhearted and welcoming; but by no means naive. They are hospitable and ever ready to welcome a visitor.

Once within the confines of the village, you get to see a simple, self-sufficient way of life that is more or less largely forgotten in the more advanced countries like Europe and America.

This simple, charming life-style is extremely attractive to most overseas’ visitors as they rediscover a less complicated way of life that seems to have all but disappeared in their own countries. It’s time to sit back and savour the simpler pleasures of life that they have no time for back home.

Away from the breakneck hustle and bustle of the city, you also get to see the true face of the real India.

You get to enjoy the sight of tiny little boys happily herding a bunch of buffaloes to the local village pond so that the animals can enjoy the luxury of a cool and refreshing dip. But, the barely contained excitement of the lively boys betray who is most likely to be enjoying this outing more.

At around midday, the community seems to head on over to the main village water tank for their day’s ritual bath after the morning’s chores are over. Of course, there are segregated areas for the women folk and children in deference to their need for privacy.

Ancient Temples and Colourful Villages of India

As you continue with your road journey, the numerous little towns and villages will also throw up a zillion reasons to stop for photographs and more. It could be an ancient monument at one stop that will take you back centuries. Or it could be a colourful “mela” or village fete further down the road. It’s as if the circus has come to town!

You are likely to see old fashioned jugglers and minstrels and snake-charmers weaving their way in and out of the happy crowds and the numerous other vendors and sellers of old-world wares and services. Further along you get to see crowds of happy and boisterous school kids catapulted out of their classrooms like jubilant prisoners just let loose from the local jail!
